Butterfly Girl

This card is inspired by the sketch challenge this week at
Sketch Saturday
I am still having problems with my cards posting fuzzy and darker at the top of the card and appearing lighter at the bottom, sort of any "Ombre", effect all the time. Not sure if it is my camera, printer, or computer???
* Floral Pattern Paper - Is from my favorite DCWV stack of the moment... called "Pocket Blossom". It has the pretties floral design patterns in it...I just love it!
* Embossing -  My new Darice folder called "Floral Basket". First time I use this folder and I love the looks of it.
* Image - From Bugaboo Digi Stamps called "A Kids View Butterflies". I added tiny gemstones to the flower centers and butterfly bodies, hard to see them, though :(
* Flower - Pre-made from Michael's Craft Store. I added a light green gemstone to the center.
* Butterfly Border - Is a Martha Stewart border punch. On this one the light green gem stones are more noticeable.
* Sentiment -  I typed out and printed on the computer using yellow cardstock. It reads "Hope you are up "Out and About" soon!

Whimsy Flower

This card is inspired by this week's challenge at:
Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2
I started by flipping the two center panels, otherwise I stayed pretty much with the original sketch.
* Floral Pattern - DCWV "Pocket Blossom" stack.
* Corner Design - Fiskar three-way corner punch. Added white pearls
* Scalloped Circle - Cut on Explore using the "Gypsy Wonderings" cartridge.
* Pink Circle - Cricut Free "Basic Cuts" images.
* Embossing - Crircut Cuttlebug "Baby's Breath" folder.
* Image - Is a stamp called "Whimsy Flower" from Little Blue Button Stamps. I used water color pencils to color it, on the bubbles I used a silver glitter Gellyroll pen. Sorry, the glitter didn't show well in the photo, looks grayish. I matted the image on pink glitter cardstock.
* Ribbon - I used a sheer pink ribbon with silver threads in it. When I flipped the center panels I used ribbon in place of the rectangular panel.
* Sentiment - I typed it out on the computer using pink ink and used my scalloped scissors to cut the ends. Added tiny pearls.

Space Ship Scotty

This card was inspired by the challenge this week at:
The Male Room
After 5+ years of making cards I still find it difficult to create cards for adult males, not so much for teen or male kiddies, though. I'm very glad I found The Male Room Challenge because by looking at the Design Team members creations, I get great ideas and inspiration from their cards. Thank You Ladies, very much!
* Image - I found this awesome image on the Internet and downloaded it, I just love it. I matted the base card using Tim Holtz Distressed cardstock called "Red Brick". I then matted the image on regular Torquoise cardstock.
* Space Ship Windows - I used a Gelly Roll "Clear Glitter" pen on them, and a Septum "Clear Glitter" pen on the "light beam", since this pen has a brush tip which I like to use on larger surfaces. All this bling on the ship and light beam looks really neat in person.
* Stars - Are puffy enamel stars by Freckled Fawn.
* Oval Sentiment - I typed and printed it out on the computer...(Sending you on an "Out of This World" Birthday Celebration). I matted both ovals with chip board for depth.
* Scotty Sentiment - I used my Cricut to write it out on the red base card red.

Friends and Flowers

This card is inspired by the sketch at
CatchtheBugBlogspot: Stella Says

* Floral Cardstock - Is from the DCWV "Pocket Blossom" stack, which I then matted on a some light green cardstock.
* White Border - Martha Stewart Border Punch, cut on white cardstock. Added floral gros-grain ribbon on top.
* Circle - I used a Spellbinder die cut from a Nestabilities set.
* Coloring - The circle is cut out of plain white cardstock. I mixed Memento Dew Drops in "New Sprout", and Versa Magic Dew Drops in "Sea Breeze" ...to give the circle some color.
* Sentiment - Is a Bug-a-boo stamp. Added bling to the flower center with a Septum pen in "Clear Glitter".
*Embossing - Provo Craft "Swiss Dots" folder using my CuttleBug.
* Butterfly - I used a pretty, pearly cardstock from the DCWV "The Shimmer" mat stack and my new Spellbinder Brilliant Butterfly metal die I have had for a while and am using for the first time. Added gemstones to it for bling.

Maracas Dancing Lion

This card is inspired by the sketch this week at
Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2

I started with matting a white base card with dark brown cardstock...
* Pattern Paper - From Michael's single sheet rack.* Strips - Are plain yellow card stock. I added Happy B'day printed ribbon to the bottom strip. Addedgreen Brads, for the tassel I used yarn.
* Embossing - Provo Craft "Spots & Dots" folder
* Image & Musical Note - Are stamps  from a set by Recollections called "Jammin' Animals".
*Lion Image - I used water color pencils to color the image. I used a Septum Noir "Silver" glitter pen on the maracas center for bling. I cut out a small circle from a yellow Pom-pom to create a fuzzy Lion tail. Added googily eyes, and used a Gelly roll pen in gold to color the musical note.
* Ovals - I used three sizes from the Cottage Cutz "Ovals" set.
SORRY! Don't know why the font size is showing up so small. Yet, the last part I entered at the bottom of the post turned out right...go figure. Maybe it will correct it's self back.

Music in Silence

This card was inspired by this week's sketch at
Cardz 4 Guys Challenge Blog

* Musical Notes Pattern Paper - I used this single sheet musical notes pattern paper from Michael's on a white base card.
* Circles - All cut on Explore at 2.50, 2.00, and at 1.50", and then matted on the slightly larger black circles.
* Embossing - Is from the Cuttlebug "Allegro" folder.
* Sentiment - Is a quote by Mozart I found on line and printed out.
* Musical Notes - They are shiny 3-D embellishments from a pack of assorted colorful musical notes, sorry no name on package, anymore.
The card is quite simple but I think the sentiment carries a very powerful message.

Remember When...

This card was inspired by the challenge this week at

* I started with a Kraft base card and matching envelope. Next I cut a smaller piece of  beige gold foil-specked cardstock. I recycled this green net from a 3# bag of oranges I bought a while back ( I just knew this net would come in handy some day!) I covered the front of the cardstock piece with it.
* Gold Strips - I was in the middle of using my Scotch Tape Gun when I had to replace the roll of tape. I had the negative roll lining of the tape left over and it just started to unroll and unroll when I took it out. I thought "Hummm!...I will use this on the card...why not?".
* Image - I found on the Internet, I added the words "Remember When" and printed it out.
* Sentiment - I downloaded from the Internet.
* Oval - Is a Cottage Kutz from the "Stitched Ovals" set. I matted it to chipboard using my Xron "Create a Sticker". I asked my husband for the smallest fishing hook he had. I then attached it to the sentiment and taped the rest of the line to the back of the panel. Disclaimer: No fingers were hooked creating this card. My hubby clipped all the sharp points off the hook. Ha! Ha!

With Sympathy: Gold/White

I was inspired to create this card by the challenge at the
Fabulous Cricut Challenge Blog

We are to create a Sympathy card this week using our Provo Craft Cricut machine and the Cuttlebug machine.
* I started with this pretty soft lilac pattern paper by Craft Smith "Sunday Morning" stash. I then cut a smaller rectangular piece of white cardstock and attached it to a piece of very fine gold glitter cardstock from the Craft Smith "Holiday Glitzy Solids" stash.
* Frame - I cut from the Provo Craft Cricut cartridge called "Lacy Labels".
* Embossing - I used my CuttleBug to emboss the white panel with a Darice "Butterflies" folder.
* Sentiment - I purchased from Anna's Lovely Labels #MB1C828. Sentiment was written on Explore with a Cricut pen in "Lavender" ink.
* Ribbon -  Is a sheer, gold thread remnant from my Ribbon Scrap box. I cut thin gold thread from the ribbon to tie and add a knot to the ribbon.
