Merry Monday Christmas Challenge
This week at http://merrymondaychristmaschallenge.blogspot.ca/ we are to use a "Snow" theme on our cards. I decided to make a Shaker card using the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge. I cut all the Snowflakes on Explore and misted them with Pearl Ex for some shine, added gems to some of the snowflake centers. The sentiment is computer-generated and I triple matted it with chipboard and used 3-D squares to pop it, and blue snow flake pattern paper I downloaded. The 3" shaker containers I bought online and filled it with some "Icelets" by Fairfied, some sequins, pearl beads, silver glitter, small metallic silver stars and 2 larger blue confetti pieces.

Great sketch at http://cardz4guyz.blogspot.com/ this week. The challenge is to include "Wood" on the cards. Nice and simple design great for a male card. The Lil' Buckaroo is a digi stamp from Dearie Dolls (isn't he so cute?). Matted the circle with chipboard for depth and inked the edges with Stazon red ink. I wanted some plaid pattern paper but didn't have any, I downloaded this black & red pattern for the center panel, all the other "wood" pattern papers are from my Scrap Box. I printed out the sentiment on the computer. Made a little lasso from Jute cord and cut up some brown embroidery thread for the tail and mane. I used a Gel Writer pen in Metallic Bronze to highlight the scroll design on the boots and the nails on the wooden sawhorse.

Tuesday Morning Sketches
Jessi Fogan at http://tuesdaymorningsketches.blogspot.com/ has provided a very nice sketch this week. It lends itself to a variety of ideas and themes, I combined it to also to post at the Merry Monday challenge for this week.

Viva La Verve
Card sketch #2 for April at http://vlvsketches.blogspot.com/ was a fun and simple sketch to create. I made a male card and decided to make it on the "flip" side. I wrote the sentiment using my Explore on Design Space. After I posted the card I'm not too happy the way the"Birthday" letters are so spaced out. I will definitely go back and redo it.

cardz4guyz
This week at http://cardz4guyz.blogspot.com/ the challenge is to make a card using "Books and/or Book Pages". We are almost at the end of the school year around the country, but I wanted to be prepared for the Fall's coming school year. I decided to make a "Back to School" card and started with black cardstock and rubbed yellow chalk on it for a "blackboard" effect. Next, I downloaded the "Happy 1st Day" and books (I fussy cut the books), added pop dots to the books. The apple is a rub-on (not very visible) and added a flag sticker. The ruler paper is from Recollections "All Seasons" stack.

Tuesday Morning Sketches
I created a "male" card using this week's sketch from http://tuesdaymorningsketches.blogspot.com/
The papers are pretty much an assortment from my Scrap Box.
Banners - Cut and layered on Explore
Gear - A Cricut cartridge image, cut on the Explore. Then I attached a metal gear to the center and used the same striped pattern paper to mat it.
Horizontal Strip - Embossed with a Provo Craft "Gears" folder, and added some red Jute.
Chevron Design - Recollections paper punch.
I'm not sure which sentiment I will use on this card, so I didn't add one.

Merry Monday
This week at http://merrymondaychristmaschallenge.blogspot.com/ we have four choices to pick from and I chose two-in-one. I did the "Sketch" while also using the "Four Color" inspiration. The colors are Red, White, Green and Kraft.
Card Base - Kraft pre-folded card from Michael's
Image - From an old Christmas card
Celebrate - Close to My Heart stamp
Frame - Spellbinder metal die
Embossing - Provo Craft "Holly" folder
***Red Dotted Center - Is the negative from which sequins are cut from. I have a few colors which I buy at the SASS Fabric Outlet here in town. I cut this strip at 1" from these 3.75" rolls they come in. They sell them for like ten cents per yard. They can be used in so many ways!
Here is what they look like:

Merry Monday
Posting my card for this week at http://merrymondaychristmaschallenge.blogspot.com/ just under the wire...WHEW!! This week the challenge is to make the card with the sentiment being the main focus. The green sentiment is repurposed from an old Christmas card, I embossed it with a "Holly" folder by Provo Craft. I roughed up the edges with a distressing tool and used a mini punch for the stars. Ribbon is from Michael's and the gold metal snowflake above the bow is a brad. Background paper is from "Christmas/Noel"' stack by Recollections.

cardz4guyz
Well, here it is Saturday night and I have only this one card made all week, and this one is due tonight. It is a black and white challenge at http://cardz4guyz.blogspot.com/ . If you have a hard time creating "Guy" cards, this is the place for inspiration...check it out!
Clouds - Darice embossing folder
Kites - Cut image from Explore Design Space and used star brads on the kite centers.
Sentiment - I wrote and printed text on my Explore. I embossed the panel with a Cuttlebug "Swiss Dots" folder.
Added twine for the kite string. The "guy" kite I cut the white part from cardstock with sheet music printed on it. The "Gal" kite white cut I blinged it with a Gelly Roll pen in clear glitter. I popped the kites and sentiment with 3-D squares.
